Felix and Sonny Arrive, May 3, 2011

BEFORE
they were born, their Mama was huge. So huge that Louise could take shelter under the shelf of my stomach. This photo is from about 37 weeks. Once it was clear that these twins were enjoying their time in the womb far beyond the normal expectations of most early-arriving multiples, Mama was induced at 37 weeks and 5 days. It was relaxed and wonderful birth and brought to our family two healthy boys born four minutes apart.

Felix Benjamin Stedman, 6 lbs 0 oz.

"Sonny" William Emerson Stedman, 5 lbs 10 oz.

In the hospital they were Twin A and Twin B.

Two at a time.

Oma and her grandsons. Felix in the foreground.

Shorn! Weezie's First Big Haircut

Louise's unruly mane was finally tamed last night. We cut off about 5 inches of beautiful baby curls and transformed her wild free flowing do into a smart and clean pageboy. She loves it and seems to feel unburdened by the long locks that were constantly getting into her eyes, food, and the zipper of her winter jacket. Freedom!

Weezie's 2nd Birthday Party

Somehow the camera wasn't around to see the cake and candles/mess of children playing with Weezie's presents but you get the idea. Happy Birthday Louise.
