Still waiting. There have been many false alarms, some lasting all night long, but no Kid. Thanks to all of you who have written and called with words of encouragement and excitement. I sincerely hope she'll be here any day now.
Now off to walk around the neighborhood for the hundredth time in hopes of positioning her towards the exit.
Till then, here's a photo of a Mexican fertility statue that I saw at the Met last week. Something about her frustrated and determined look seems quite appropriate right now.

Alright already Kid Stedman! The glimmering world awaits!
She will be here soon, I promise! No baby has ever stayed in forever, although it definitely feels like that when you're overdue. Give me a call if you need anything - moral support, tips for going into labor, or because you're bored!
You'll be a mom in just a few days (at the most) - hurray!!
